Figure 62. Pry out the old manual shifter shaft seal with a screwdriver and install the new seal, a 1/2 inch socket works well as a seal driver for this.

Figure 63. Install the new manual shift shaft, selector assembly, nut and parking pawl actuator shaft. Insert the spacer on the shaft between the outer case and the selector assembly. Tighten the nut with a 15mm wrench.

Figure 64. Install the parking pawl actuator rod into the parking pawl bracket, be sure the pawl is pushed down towards the valve body side of the case, and install the bracket with the two bolts. Torque the bolts to 250 inch pounds.
